Side by Side battery packs (SBS)

Side by side accupacks

Side by Side battery packs, also known as SBS battery packs, consist of multiple battery cells positioned next to each other. This configuration is commonly used in emergency lighting fixtures where a compact and relatively flat battery arrangement is required.

ACIDUS supplies a wide range of Side by Side battery packs for emergency lighting in various voltages, capacities, cell types and battery chemistries. The range includes NiCd, NiMH and LiFePO4 battery packs from brands such as SAFT, ARTS Energy and BYD.

SBS battery packs are used as replacement batteries in a wide variety of emergency lighting fixtures. When selecting the correct replacement battery pack, it is important to check the voltage, capacity, cell type, dimensions, connection and configuration of the existing battery pack.
