Fluorescent lighting has been widely used for many years in professional and technical environments where reliable and uniform illumination is required. In existing installations, fluorescent tubes remain important for maintenance, replacement and keeping existing luminaires operational.

When replacing a fluorescent tube, it is important to check more than just its dimensions. The wattage, lamp base, tube diameter, colour temperature and control gear must also be compatible with the existing luminaire.

Fluorescent lighting remains particularly relevant for maintaining existing installations where complete replacement of the luminaires is not yet required. If an installation is to be modernised at a later stage, a suitable LED alternative can also be considered.
