Not every space or installation can be equipped with a standard luminaire. Specialist lighting is intended for applications where specific requirements apply to light output, beam distribution, mounting, environmental conditions or technical configuration.

ACIDUS supplies solutions for a wide range of specialist lighting projects in industrial, technical, commercial and marine environments. Typical applications include difficult-to-access locations, unusual mounting positions, limited installation space, specific supply voltages and environments where additional resistance to moisture, dust, vibration, temperature or mechanical impact is required.

Specialist lighting can be used in industrial facilities, ports, shipping, engine rooms, technical areas, production environments, infrastructure, storage facilities and logistics sites. It can also provide a suitable solution where conventional street lights, floodlights, waterproof luminaires or standard surface-mounted fixtures are not appropriate.

Depending on the project, different wattages, colour temperatures, beam angles, IP and IK ratings, dimensions and mounting options may be required. Certain solutions may also include functions such as dimming, sensors, DALI control or specific power-supply requirements.

Careful technical selection is particularly important for specialist lighting. The required light level, environmental conditions, available space, mounting height and technical requirements all influence the correct choice of luminaire.
